We have been conditioned to look outside of ourselves for all of the really important things in life, especially pure, raw, unconditional love. So if we don’t love ourselves and we are offered an opportunity, we are more likely to let it pass us by because we don’t believe we deserve it or that we can do it. Self-love says that we find happiness within ourselves despite the external validation.
Or maybe you feel unlovable because of things that happened to you in your past and you feel like a victim of circumstances. Either way, it is a disconnection from the truth of who and what you really are. This is because the Ego self is ignorant of the truth.
